I am addicted to working out

I haven't written here in a while, and I guess I was afraid of jixing myself (which I might be doing as we speak). I've never been "fat" or "overweight" but I've always wanted to be really skinny.

Anyway, this week I actually stuck with the grapefruit diet (I would always do it for like 3 days and lose couple lbs and then give up). I'm planning on finishing all 7 days this time around, and then diving right into the black bean diet so i can maintain my weight loss.

So...I started out at 121.4... and today is the 5th day and I am 114.8 lbs! That's almost 7 lbs in 5 days! I coupled it with ~2 hours of hardcore workouts -- body combat class, jumproping, 5-6 mile run, etc and weight training.

Also, starting next week, I think I'm going to have my runner friend be my personal trainer and start training for like 1/2 marathon or something.

My ideal body would be victoria's secret model body... thin, toned, tan.

GAhhh i'm so excited -- I haven't hit 114's in a really long time. I hope I can be at 113 tomorrow!

PS. I went dress shopping yesterday after work, and I fit in XS and size 0 dresses and skirts! I still feel like I have extra fat deposits -- like jiggly stuff around my muscle. I want to be totally toned. Still, size 0 is ammmaaaaazing~

117.9

this is going to be really quick. Work is eating up my time, and I'm just so busy and tired. WAking up at 5:10 is NOT my favorite thing to do in the world, but i think it helps with my diet. I eat a hearty breakfast, healthy but quick lunch, and work out for 1-2 hours at night. I've gone to the gym every day for the past week (which i don't think i've EVER done in my life).

While my weight is not going down as fast as I would like, I feel skinnier and fitter. I can also run longer and faster, and be more alert longer.

Also, there was a study that showed increased thinking power associated to doing physical activities -- more aerobic exercises though, not lifting and stuff like that.

But yea, I hope to stay in the 117's the rest of this week, be in 116's next week, and hit 115 and maintain that until I ship off to  morocco.

BLACK BEAN DIET

Although i must say I think that's a misnomer, because it's more of a lifestyle than a 'diet'...

Here's a summary:

First day: 3-4 spoonfuls of steamed black bean and maybe 3 oz of silken unflavored tofu for all 3 meals, and drink lots of water

Second day onwards: 3-4 spoonfuls of steamed black bean before every meal, and eat tofu and beans for dinner

Other rules: no food after 8:00pm, sleep before midnight, do not skip breakfast, drink lots of water

The first week you won't see much result, but once you get used to eating the beans and drinking lots of water, etc, and you combine it with regular exercise, you will drop weights w/o any extra difficulty. The beautiful thing about this diet is that you don't really have to restrict too much -- you can continue eating almost whatever you want, as long as it's in moderation. Also, black bean keeps you full longer, so you don't crave as much snacks.

Apparently this one guy lose over 100 lbs doing it in 4 months, and he's been trying to lose his weight for ... 11 years, and nothing worked for him. Also, he used to have horrible skin and hair trouble, but by going on this black bean diet, his skin cleared up and his itchy hair was cured too!

I've only been doing it for about 2 weeks, and didn't do it too well the first week, but I really do recommend it.

My mom just got this book on 'Black Bean Diet' and I think it really works!

I've also been working out at night for about an hour (30-45 min cardio and some lifting and stiups).

I'll write mroe about it later.
